There is no single “muscle fatigue test.” A clinician may recommend different tests depending on your symptoms and health history. Thyroid tests: may be considered when fatigue occurs with weight change, temperature sensitivity, bowel changes, hair changes, or other thyroid-related symptoms. Blood glucose or HbA1c: may help assess glucose-related concerns when symptoms and risk factors suggest it. Kidney, liver, and electrolyte tests: may be appropriate if your clinician suspects a metabolic, medication-related, or organ-related cause. A basic metabolic panel can provide information about glucose, electrolytes, kidney function, and fluid balance.
